Updating the statuses of Jira ticketsIf you have back-end Jira access and are unable to change the status of only one particular ticket, the Jira form may have been filled out with an incorrect date format. Please have the customer re-submit the ticket and ensure that they submit any date fields in the format of MM/dd/yyyy. 2022-09-20
KognitoSome users are being told inside of Kognito that their training courses are incomplete despite finishing both the course and the post-course survey. The recommended fix is an internal record update by ITS.2023-08-23
Jira Date Fields

When filling out a date field on a Jira form, it's recommended to use the pop-up calendar. You will need to select the date, then click the "Confirm" button in the bottom left in order to fill in the field.

Filer Path Issues

Issue with Existing Mapped Drive(s)   We have received reports from some Windows users experiencing issues with losing their existing mapped drives due to changes made on 6/1/2024.

Disconnecting and re-adding the network location appears to successfully resolve the problem.

Panopto Gradebook Reporting

Graded assignments in Panopto will receive incomplete scores when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The assignment is graded by the percentage viewed.

  • The Panopto video includes at least one quiz.

  • The option to only allow a single grade was selected in the Learning Management System (LMS).

How to mitigate the issue:

  • If the assignment is updated to allow multiple attempts, then a student can re-open the LTI link in the assignment, and the updated grade showing their current total percent viewed will be sent to the gradebook 3 hours later.

When will this be resolved?

  • This will no longer occur after Panopto 15 is released on June 27th and 28th.

Alert Handling

How do we define an alert

All of the following must apply:

  • We can consistently reproduce an unexpected behavior.
  • An issue is generating a number of responses from the UWF community.
  • An alert is posted either on this page, or our main Technology Alerts page.
  • Either ITS or the third-party vendors are aware of the issue.
  • Either ITS or the third-party vendors are actively working to resolve the issue.
  • Notices* will be posted if an outage is planned for high impact services.

* Other changes may occur during our posted maintenance windows that will not have a formal notice.

What to expect from an alert

ITS will make best efforts to provide the following for each alert:

  • What is expected to occur
  • What actually occurs
  • What are the workarounds for the issue (if there are any)
  • Which departments and third-party vendors are working to resolve the issue
  • When was the alert posted
  • When was the alert closed
