Apartment living with campus perks. Village West offers all the benefits and privacy of apartment living for upperclassmen at UWF, with added benefits like private bedrooms, washer and dryer units and your own kitchen to make gourmet meals.

• Extra-long twin beds, desks, desk chairs and dressers are provided for each resident.
• 2 bed/2 bath units and 4 bed/2 bath units are available

• Washer & Dryer in each unit
• Smoke detectors and sprinkler system
• Full-size cooking range with vent hood, microwave and refrigerator
• Dishwasher
• Bedrooms have their own cable connection and internet connectivity for personal computers

Housing Safety

Your safety is our #1 priority.

• Campus housing is exclusively for UWF students.
• Entrances are only accessible via key card.
• We have five layers of On-Call Support to assist your student 24 hrs a day every day.
• There’s a dedicated campus police force and Blue Light stations to get in contact with UWF officers in case of an emergency.

Resources Close to Campus

There are a number of resources located close to campus that you may need to visit during your time in Pensacola. Here are a few of the major retailers nearby, many of which you can get to using the transportation services listed on this page.

Transportation

Bus transportation will be provided for off-campus events and travel from/to the airport. The following no-cost resources are available to UWF students. You can also catch a ride using a transportation service, like Uber or Lyft.

UWF Trolley

UWF has one trolley that operates during the summer. This summer's schedule has not yet been released, so refer to the 2019 Summer Trolley Schedule for departure times and destinations. The 2022 schedule may vary some, but will generally be similar. Monitor the UWF Trolley webpage for specifics and updates. There is no cost to UWF students to use the trolley.

ECAT Bus Service

ECAT (Escambia County Area Transit) is a community transportation service with routes throughout the Pensacola area. As a UWF student, you can pick up one 10-Ride Bus Pass each week. See the ECAT Bus Service webpage for where to pick up your bus pass, program guidelines, and how ECAT services UWF.
