Overview
These costs reflect the fees students will see on their CashNet accounts for the Academic Year 2023-2024. Fees may change for the next academic year. Review the costs you can expect to pay for the UWF LewerMark International Insurance Plan as well as costs associated with optional add-on coverage (e.g., dependent care, dental plan).
Fees for the UWF Plan for F1 and J1 Students
Insurance is charged by term: fall and spring/summer. Summer-only coverage is only for students who have a May Start date on their Form I-20 or DS2019.
- Insurance fees are due IN FULL by the payment deadline.
- Students who have not paid their insurance fees in full by the payment deadline will not be allowed to continue studying in the current semester. Insurance is a requirement for international students to study at UWF.
- Class registration will be dropped. Students will have 3 business days to pay the insurance fee and follow course registration reinstatement (and pay additional penalty fees for reinstatement).
- Students who do not make course registration reinstatement will have their student visa status terminated for failure to meet/maintain enrollment requirements as an international student at UWF.

Dependent Coverage
Students who have dependents who will reside with them in the US may elect to enroll dependents in their own insurance.
LewerMark provides coverage options for F2 and J2 dependents on a voluntary enrollment basis.
If you elect to purchase dependent insurance, you will pay fees directly to LewerMark.
Optional Coverage Options - Not included in the UWF Lewer Mark Plan for International Students
The UWF LewerMark International Insurance Plan meets and exceeds the Florida Board of Governors Requirements for international student insurance.
The plan does not include coverage for dental or vision expenses. These coverages are not included in US health insurance plans. LewerMark offers options for students who want to add this coverage in addition to health insurance.
Fees for Dental and Vision insurance are paid directly to LewerMark.
