Welcome visit in January

Being on Campus

Get Ready

The UWF Pensacola Campus spans 1,600 acres and has over 7,000 students taking on-campus classes in the Spring 2023 semester. That's why we suggest preparing for your commute before heading to campus.

Virtual Campus Map

Use our Virtual Campus Map to view and get driving directions to the various buildings you'll spend your time in. All locations of class meetings and events are specified on the itinerary below.

Print your Temporary Parking Permit

Each vehicle will need a Temporary Parking Permit before your second day on campus. Temporary permits are available to print via MyUWF through the Parking Transaction Portal.  Visit how to print your free 14 day temporary permit for step-by-step instructions. If you don't have access to a printer, MBA Office staff can help you print your permit during your first day on campus.

Temporary permits are also available on weekdays (8am-5pm, except holidays) in Parking Services (Bldg. 20W, Room 151). After hours and weekends, temporary permits are available at the UWF Police office (Bldg. 94).

These parking permits will allow you to park in the Commuter and Overflow parking lots. You will find these parking lots highlighted in Green (Commuter) and Pink (Overflow) on the Virtual Campus Map.

*Campus police will ticket your vehicle and student account if you fail to follow these rules.*

Tobacco-Free Campus

As of August 2016, UWF is a Tobacco-Free Campus. Employees, students, and visitors are not allowed to use tobacco products on any university-owned properties. This restriction includes cars parked on campus. If you wish to smoke while you are here, you must leave campus grounds to do so.

Itinerary

Itinerary

Your schedule of events, classes, professional development, and closing ceremony can be found in the Google Calendar below. But first, here's a preview of your first two days on campus.

Day #1 - Monday, January 16

Your campus experience will start on Monday, January 16 at 8:00 AM in the College of Business (first floor of building 76A). We will start with an Orientation and Welcome Breakfast, then you will jump right into your first class, FIN 5565 Fund Management, with Dr. Ma. Lunch will also be provided.

You do not need a parking permit to park in Commuter or Overflow parking on your first day since it is a holiday (Martin Luther King Jr Day). There will be few other students on campus.

Day #2 - Tuesday, January 17

Your second day is a busy one! You'll start on campus at 8:15 AM with an International Orientation and Welcome Breakfast in the Argo Athletic Club (building 54). Following breakfast, you will be given a tour of the UWF Campus and be taken to get your Nautilus Card (student ID card). At 11:15am, we will drive to Downtown Pensacola for a Rotary Club of Pensacola meeting and lunch. Finally, we will take a tour of the Institute of Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC).

As mentioned above, you will need a parking permit before you arrive to campus on your second day.
