Student Health Services (SHS)All currently enrolled IBAIT students who pay the health fee are eligible for Student Health Services, whether you live on or off campus. UWF. UWF's Student Health Services is a primary care clinic. Services include women’s health, STI testing/treatment, diagnosis and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, immunizations, health education and prevention. MinorsThe parent/guardian of all minor students are required to sign a consent form when you submit your immunization documents. This is an electronic form that is tied to the immunization portal and gives UWF consent to treat the student. Should a minor student require treatment at a local hospital, urgent care center, etc., the parent/guardian will be contacted via phone by the facility they are transported to. The call will typically come from a hospital social worker or nurse, who will also work with the parent/guardian to coordinate consent of care. Cost of CareThere is no charge for students to be seen by one of our providers. However, there are fees associated with labs and nursing services. Many laboratory tests required for diagnosis and treatment can be performed at SHS at a reasonable cost. Student Health Services does not bill insurance for services provided, but we highly recommend that students have health insurance. Questions about SHS?Building 960, Suite 106 |
