John C. Pace Library (Building 32) - The 6-floor John C. Pace Library, located across the Cannon Green from the University Commons, houses over 750,000 print volumes. In addition to the usual workspaces, individual study carrels are available for check out. The 5th floor Skylab offers additional multimedia hardware and software, including the Adobe Creative Suite, which can also be accessed remotely, as well as 3D printers. The University Archives and West Florida History Center, located in the basement, contains over one million unique items relating to the historic West Florida region. 

Emerald Coast Library (Emerald Coast Campus, Building 8) - The Emerald Coast Library is located in Fort Walton Beach and provides access to information resources that support courses taught in that location. The collection has over 27,000 volumes, and materials available for checkout at the Pensacola Campus libraries may be requested for delivery/checkout at the Emerald Coast Library.

On-Campus Dining

UWF offers a variety of dining venues. Here are a few of our favorites. 

Chick-fil-A* (Commons, Argo Galley)  is the home of the original chicken sandwich with two pickles on a toasted butter bun. Over the years they have grown to specialize in a variety of chicken sandwiches, breakfasts, salads, sides and frozen treats.

Nautilus Market (University Commons, Building 22) - An all-you-care-to-eat dining experience. You’ll find an abundant variety of fresh foods, prepared your way each day. Our chefs stand ready to serve up a changing menu of specialties including hand-tossed pizza, sandwiches, and more cooked to your liking! Daily features include traditional home-style meals, fresh cooked pastas and simmering sauces. Enjoy hot and hearty traditional and vegetarian soups, bisques and chowders and an abundant salad bar.

Pace Library Coffee House (John C. Library, Building 32) - We Proudly Serve Starbucks coffee beverages, teas and smoothies as well as a variety of pastries, snacks, and breakfast sandwiches.

Starbucks at Argonaut Village (east entrance to campus) - Offers high-quality coffees, hand-crafted espresso beverages, teas, smoothies as well as a variety of pastries, prepackaged snacks, and breakfast sandwiches. They also accept the UWF Nautilus Card.

Switz Café* (College of Business, Building 76A) - We Proudly Serve Starbucks coffee, cappuccinos, grab & go salads, sandwiches, wraps, parfaits, drinks, and sweet or salty snacks.

Twisted Taco*  (Commons, Argo Galley) is an American Mexican Cantina fusing new American and bold Mexican flavors to form a one of a kind “Twist” on Mexican cuisine. The Ultimate Tex-Mex Experience is finally here! Offering several different tacos, nachos, queso and much more! 

Which-Wich Superior Sandwiches* (Commons, Argo Galley) is committed to creating the best sandwiches available. They offer more than 50 varieties of customizable "wiches." The Which-Wich menu also includes plenty of vegetarian options and several healthy wiches for less than 400 calories each.

Counseling & Psychological Services

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers counseling and therapy to help students manage, cope and grow with the stress associated with school and life. The primary goal of counseling  is to help students develop the personal awareness and skills necessary to overcome problems and to develop in ways that will allow them to take advantage of educational opportunities at the University.

Off-Campus Medical Care

The following information is for general guidance if you elect to seek off-campus medical care. It is your responsibility to research your treatment options based on your health insurance plan(s). 

What to bring - Bring a copy of your insurance verification form or ID card for each health insurance policy you have. At a minimum, these documents should include your policy number and the insurance company's name, address, & phone number.

  • If you purchased a pre-approved insurance plan, you should have received an email from the provider with a link to access your insurance card and find local providers.
