Overview
Normally, suspended students have to wait at least one full semester before enrolling in courses at UWF. Sometimes students wait longer, depending on their circumstances; the recommendations of their respective advisors, department chairpersons, and College reinstatement committees; and the decision of their respective College dean.
However, recently suspended students can appeal for immediate reinstatement if they have exceptional circumstances. Examples of these circumstances include
- serious illness of the student,
- serious illness or death in the immediate family,
- military orders.
These exception circumstances must also be documented. Examples of this documentation includes
- A doctor's note, written on an official letterhead;
- The obituary of an immediate family member;
- Paperwork that shows your military status changed to full-time active duty;
- Court papers that show you have been divorced or separated;
- Paperwork that shows you lost your home to a fire or flood.
