Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) Pay rates
- Chapter 33 students will be responsible for making all payments to the school for housing fees and meal plans, as the VA will send their funding directly to the account listed when the VA application is completed. The VA will send tuition & fees directly to the school (if your benefit % is lower than 100, the student is responsible for paying the remaining amount owed directly to the school).
- Be advised, if your benefits percentage is lower than 100% the deferment on file will be until the end of the term. Payment will be due at the end of the term. It will be your responsibility to cover the remaining balance and check your TransAct under MyUWF. If you would like your deferment removed, so as to pay your remaining balance, contact MVRC at 850-474-2550 or emails us at mvrc@uwf.edu .

- Note: Active duty service members are not eligible for a MHA but are eligible for a book stipend.

- Spouse of Veteran: You will receive a semester book stipend, monthly housing allowance, and tuition and fees paid from the VA to UWF.
- Spouse of Active Duty members: You will receive a semester book stipend, and tuition and fees paid from the VA to UWF. Spouses of Active Duty members are not eligible for monthly housing allowance while their spouse is still on active duty.
- Dependent Child: You will receive book stipend, monthly housing allowance, and tuition and fees paid from the VA to UWF. The child of an Active Duty member still qualifies for monthly housing allowance.

Please note: Chapter 35 (DEA) students will be responsible for making all payments to the school for tuition & fees, housing fees, and meal plans. The VA will send their funding directly to the account listed when the VA application is completed.
Monthly Pay Rate/Scholarship information
- If you & your sponsor are Florida residents, you may also qualify for the state CSDDV scholarship. Review CSDDV.pdf (floridastudentfinancialaidsg.org) for eligibility criteria and application instructions. Please be advised, this scholarship does not pay for summer semester.
- The CSDDV is a state scholarship not associated with FASFA. Our office is unable to determine when funding will be dispersed or when applications will be fully processed. For more inquiries contact the Florida Department of Education Office: 888-827-2004 or email OSFA@fldoe.org.
- Ch. 35 students are eligible for a deferment each semester which may be requested when completing their VA Enrollment Certification Form (ECF).
