Overview
In the event that the MSW program reaches capacity for a given semester, as determined by the department, applicants who would otherwise be admitted will instead be offered a spot on the MSW Waitlist. When this occurs, all affected applicants will receive an email from the department (socialwork@uwf.edu) that explains the waitlist options and includes a link to a Dynamic Form that must be submitted to indicate whether the applicant would like to accept or decline the offer. If the offer is declined, the admission decision will automatically be moved to the next available semester. If the offer is accepted, the application will remain in a pending status until either a spot opens up or we reach the semester deadline (a date set by the Social Work department). Any pending applications on the waitlist that are not admitted by the semester deadline will automatically be admitted for the next available semester. Regardless of which option the applicant chooses, the MSW Waitlist Agreement must be submitted, and a copy of the form will be stored in the applicant's file. It is the applicant's responsibility to submit the form. If this form is not submitted, the application will be subject to cancellation.
Instructions
Step 1
If the program is at capacity, the applicant will receive an email explaining the MSW Waitlist offer. This email will include a link to the Dynamic Form: MSW Waitlist Agreement. The applicant must follow the link and, if asked to login, use their My.UWF.edu username and password to access the form.
Step 2
After carefully reading the information contained in the form, the applicant must choose one of the two options from the drop-down menu: "accept" or "decline." An additional acknowledgement statement will appear that further emphasizes the applicant's understanding of the option they have chosen.
Step 3
The applicant must click in the shaded area that says "(click to sign)" to electronically sign their MSW Waitlist Agreement. A pop-up window will ask the applicant to read the disclosure/consent statement before typing their first name in the first available text box, and their last name in the second available text box, then the applicant must click the "Sign Electronically" button to submit their form.
Step 4
The form is now submitted, and the applicant will receive an automated confirmation email.
Any questions about this form should be directed to the Social Work department at socialwork@uwf.edu.
