Security Considerations

Considered secure:

Considered secure:

https://zoom.us/docs/en-us/privacy-and-security.html

Recent high-visibility security issues:

  • Security flaws in the desktop clients
  • Security flaws in encryption and recordings
  • Security flaws in default methods of inviting/setup of meetings

ITS Recommendation: Ensure you are using the latest desktop client possible and make sure you keep this client software updated at all times. Zoom, as the current leading videoconferencing platform is the target of most hacking attempts.
