Additional Resources and Services
- Syllabus Support
- Graduating students often do not know how to connect what they have learned in the classroom, or in other areas of their college experience to the workforce. Because of this, many employers have a negatively skewed perception of the actual career readiness of our students. CDCE recognized this and has developed the Argo2Pro: Career Readiness Program as a resource to help your students be more prepared and have greater confidence when they graduate. Since faculty are typically the first person a student will go to for career advice, your support and involvement are critical to their success. One thing that CDCE can do, is help you to map the learning outcomes on your syllabi to the Career Readiness Competencies that are most appropriate. For more information on the Argo2Pro: Career Readiness program or to request help in mapping your syllabi, visit www.uwf.edu/argo2pro, or contact your college’s CDCE liaison.
Whether your course meets face-to-face or online, we even have language ready for you to add directly to your syllabus, canvas shell, or both.

Resume Assignment:
Students should prepare a resume, applying what they learned from the Career Development and Community Engagement (CDCE) presentation or Canvas Modules. Career coaches from CDCE will grade students' resumes based on content, formatting, and quality of writing. Prior to submitting the resume assignment, students may consider requesting an appointment with a career coach to review their resumes.
- Options for requesting this assistance from CDCE, include: (1) Using this on-demand request form (2) drop-in appointments, and (3) scheduled appointments. Instructions for accessing both appointment options can be found at uwf.edu/career.
- Please contact CDCE at career@uwf.edu with any questions pertaining to resumes or scheduling your appointment.
Mock Interview Assignment:
Students will be able to complete their mock interview assignment online or in person with a career coach from CDCE. Students will practice their interview skills and learn about best practices for sharing compelling, competitive responses and exhibiting professionalism in an interview setting. All mock interviews must be scheduled at least one business day in advance. Instructions for scheduling a mock interview can be found: uwf.edu/career.
- When preparing for your mock interview appointment, use Handshake or a job search website like LinkedIn or Indeed to identify a job listing that you find interesting. Share the job listing and your resume with your career coach prior to your appointment. The career coach will create a custom list of questions for that job opening. Students should also prepare to wear professional attire.
Please contact CDCE at career@uwf.edu with any questions pertaining to mock interviews or scheduling your appointment.
