CDCE Overview:

Career Development & Community Engagement (CDCE) offers resume reviews, assistance with your job or internship search, interviewing tips, and many other strategies to become career-ready. For more information, check out Handshake (uwf.joinhandshake.com), visit uwf.edu/career or call 850-474-2254.

ALL new students enrolling at UWF (freshmen or transfer) are required to complete the UWF Career Readiness Module. Learn more on the Career Readiness Module (for new students) Information page.

Resume Assignment:

Students should prepare a resume, applying what they learned from the Career Development and Community Engagement (CDCE) presentation or Canvas Modules. Career coaches from CDCE will grade students' resumes based on content, formatting, and quality of writing. Prior to submitting the resume assignment, students may consider requesting an appointment with a career coach to review their resumes.

Mock Interview Assignment:

Students will be able to complete their mock interview assignment online or in person with a career coach from CDCE. Students will practice their interview skills and learn about best practices for sharing compelling, competitive responses and exhibiting professionalism in an interview setting. All mock interviews must be scheduled at least one business day in advance. Instructions for scheduling a mock interview can be found: uwf.edu/career

Please contact CDCE at career@uwf.edu with any questions pertaining to mock interviews or scheduling your appointment.
