Overview
Yuja is a video platform that is integrated with Canvas. This page will provide information and resources on Yuja. Yuja will replace Panopto for new video content creation beginning in May 2025. The replacement of Panopto videos with Yuja videos in Canvas is tentatively scheduled August 13-22, 2025, after grades are posted from the Summer semester and before Fall courses begin.Introduction
Yuja is a video platform integrated in Canvas that is available to faculty, staff, and students. Yuja can be utilized for video capture, editing, and management. Yuja provides several advanced features including accessibility, editing, quizzing, publishing. Yuja provides 24/7 live support for users. Yuja will replace Panopto.
Yuja Information, Training, and Support Sessions
Yuja and CTLT will provide a series of face-to-face and Zoom sessions throughout the summer and fall semesters. Yuja Tutorials are also available at support.yuja.com.
- Panopto to Yuja Transition Information Session - Friday, April 11th, from 10:00-11:00 AM in Zoom
- Yuja Training Sessions provided by Yuja
- Yuja Weekly Support Sessions - Fridays, Beginning April 25th, from 10 AM-12 PM in Zoom
Important Dates
- March 19, 2025 - Yuja was turned on in Canvas.
- (Tentative) May 7-9 - All Panopto content will be copied and delivered to Yuja. Panopto videos will still be active in Canvas until August 12. Yuja will convert the Panopto links to Yuja links and replace the content in Canvas during the Summer to Fall break. Any content created in Panopto after May 7th will have to be manually converted to Yuja. Therefore, we encourage all new video content be created in Yuja starting May 7th.
- (Tentative) August 13-22, 2025 - Panopto video links will be replaced Yuja video links.
- (Tentative) August 13, 2025 - Access to Panopto will be removed from Canvas.

Panopto Yuja Comparison
The decision to transition from Panopto to Yuja was based on the criteria below. Price, number of recurring and unresolved problems with Panopto, and the additional support, accessibility, editing, and content type features gained with Yuja were deciding factors. YuJa was tested with a group of faculty and student Panopto users to gather comparative feedback on features, usability, and functionality.
