Overview

Students will need to bring their Nautilus cards, or have their UWF student ID numbers memorized to check in to the kiosks. Students who forget to bring their cards and don't have their UWF student ID numbers memorized will have to ask tutors with the Tutor Manager or Kiosk Administrator user role to get their numbers.

Instructions

Step 1

Make sure you have the Tutor Manager or Kiosk Administrator user role.  The direct supervisors of the UWF tutoring services are responsible for assigning these roles in GradesFirst.  See Giving and revoking various GradesFirst privileges to tutors.

Step 2

Have a pen and two sheets of scratch paper ready.

Step 3

Ask the student to spell his or her first and last name, and his or her UWF Gmail address (e.g., "abc12")

Ask the student to confirm that you spelled the name and Gmail address correctly.

Step 4

Open any web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.).  Go to uwf.gradesfirst.com.  Log in.

Use a computer that is not designated as a kiosk to complete this procedure, so that students who came prepared can continue to swipe in.

Step 5

Click on the magnifying glass in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 6

The magnifying glass should have changed into a search field.  Type the student's UWF Gmail address in this field (e.g., abc12).  When you are finished typing, only one result should appear below the search field, and the search result should contain the student's name and the last four digits of his or her UWF student ID number.  Click the result if it is correct.

*If typing the UWF Gmail address doesn't yield the correct result, delete the address and type the student's first and last name.

Step 7

The student's profile page should appear.  Scroll down until you see the student's UWF ID number.  Write that number on a different sheet of scratch paper, and hand that scratch paper to the student.  Throw away the scratch paper that has the student's name and UWF Gmail address.
