Dual Enrollment is a coursework acceleration program that allows qualified secondary school students to begin postsecondary coursework while earning credits towards their high school diploma at the same time. Dual Enrollment is established by law (Florida Statute 1007.271) for public, private, charter, and home school secondary students. In addition to the academic opportunities, students enrolled for dual enrollment are exempt from the payment of tuition, registration, and laboratory fees pursuant to s. 1009.25, F.S. UWF currently has dual enrollment articulation agreements with Escambia County School Board, Santa Rosa County School Board, and Holmes County School Board. Additionally, UWF has articulation agreements with the following private schools: Aletheia Christian Academy, Trinitas Christian SchoolSchool, and Pensacola Private School of Liberal Arts. Homeschool students are required to complete an individual Articulation Agreement that is routed to the student during the application process. These articulation agreements outline the specifics of dual enrollment eligibility, participation, and funding requirements. More information concerning the payment of fees by the private school of school board/district may be found in the articulation agreements. Students are required to pay the annual Nautilus Card fee, and if driving to campus, the Parking Permit costs.
