F-1 Degree-seeking students

F-1 students must work with their academic advisor to register for classes.

Freshmen will work with First Year Advising to register for classes.

• It is important to make an appointment with your advisor as soon as possible if you are not registered for classes yet.
• Review this page for steps to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor
• Students studying for the first time in the U.S. must enroll in at least one in person course in Spring 2022.
• Undergraduate students must enroll in at least 12 credit hours.
• Graduate students must enroll in at least 6 credit hours.
• If you transferred your I-20 to UWF and were enrolled in Spring 2021 or Summer 2021 as an F-1 student, you are eligible for fully online classes.

Please note that the full time credit hours above are the minimum to maintain F-1 status.

• Your degree plan may require additional courses.
• You need to work with your academic advisor to ensure that you are on track for your degree plan.
