Residency

If you are a non-Florida resident and living in the State of Florida, your residency status will be changed to temporary resident by the Registrar’s Office once we receive the documentation from your CH31 counselor and the VSOC adds your name to the CH31 in-state residency list.

If residency has not been updated, contact the MRVC office for assistance at 850-474-2550 or email us at mvrc@uwf.edu.

Parking Permit/Pass

Your parking permit is paid for by the VR&E. Once your classes have been certified by our office, the MVRC will add your name to the parking permit list.  You can complete the VA Voc-Rehab Vehicle Registration form, here is the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe2tKwDr_kAi-rnp5YC2mD3YYp2ahliugrqRhzm_CJp7DG8Wg/viewform. Your permit will be issued to you.  The permit expires September 30th of every year.  You are responsible to get a new permit every year.  You will remain on the list until you graduate and/or you are no longer in the VR&E program.

Note: Please only fill out the form if you are Chapter 31 and have been told to fill out by the MVRC. If you are, you are allowed one type of permit only. (Either Car/Truck or Motorcycle). If you have multiple vehicles of one type please fill out a second form.

UWF Student ID Card

Once your classes have been certified, you can go to Bldg. 20W to get your ID card at the VA's expense.  Inform them that you are a Ch. 31 VR&E student.

Bookstore procedures:  Your classes are certified, an email was sent to the bookstore, notifying them you are a VR&E student.

Books and Supplies

The VA pays for required tuition, fees, books, and a set amount for supplies.

VA purchasing process:

  • PIN Format (if not receiving Financial Aid): The student’s PIN will be the first letter of their first name + first letter of their last name (both capitalized) + the last 4 digits of their student ID.
Example: John Doe, Student ID 12345678 → PIN: JD5678

  • PIN Format (also receiving Financial Aid): Pin will be found under your MyUWF under My Account. Instructions: Bookstore Financial Aid Deferment Program
  • Students can add items to their bag and check out using this PIN to purchase:

    • Supplies

    • Textbooks

    • Technology

  • Students can choose either in-store pickup or shipping during checkout.

  • If students visit the store in person, they can go to uwfshop.com, enter their student ID, and view a list of their required course materials.

  • Physical books will be located on shelves organized by the author’s last name.

  • Digital books will be processed and rung up at the cash register.

Please note: VA does not cover Follett Access charges directly.  You will have temporary access to the materials, but the bookstore, will have to manually ring up an equivalent version of the course materials you are accessing through Canvas. Don’t worry—you won’t lose any work already completed. They are simply providing an alternate method of access.

You will receive an email from the bookstore with more details, and then you will be opted out of Follett Access for that course.

If any VA students experience issues with their PINs or obtaining their books, please contact the bookstore at: 📧 bookstorevoucher@uwf.edu
