UWF Wireless Networks: Which One Should I Use?

The University of West Florida provides multiple wireless networks (SSIDs) to meet different needs. Here’s a quick overview to help you choose the right one:

eduroam

Who can use it?
Faculty, staff, and students.

Purpose:
Secure, world-wide Wi-Fi access for your personal (BYOD) devices. Use it on laptops, smartphones, or tablets for internet connectivity.

Sign in once at UWF and you’ll be able to connect automatically at thousands of participating institutions around the world using your UWF credentials.

UWF Guest

Who can use it?
Campus visitors, conference attendees, or special event guests.

Purpose:
Provides self-service guest access for up to 12 hours at a time.

How to connect:
Guests can follow our UWF Guest Wireless Instructions to self-register and get online.. For large events or special arrangements, submit a request to ITS.

Blocked Technologies & Geographic Restrictions

To maintain a secure and compliant campus network, certain technologies and services are prohibited or geo-blocked when connected to UWF wireless networks.
