Overview


If you have recently activated an ArgoNet account, follow the steps below to set up 2-Step Verification on your UWF Gmail to prevent yourself from being locked out. 

Instructions

Step 1

Log into your UWF Gmail account by navigating to the appropriate link below:

In the upper right-hand corner of your UWF Gmail Account, click on your avatar.

Click Manage your Google Account.

Step 4

On the left side of your screen, click Security.

Step 5

Scroll down to the "How you sign in to Google" section of the page and click 2-Step Verification. (You may be prompted to enter your password again)

Step 6

Scroll down to the "Second steps" section and choose a method to use as a second factor for authentication. We recommend using your phone number to start. 

Step 7

After entering your phone number, you should receive a code to provide to verify the number. After the number shows as verified, you should be all set!

  1. Sign into the Gmail app using your full email address:
    1. Students - username@students.uwf.edu
    2. FacStaff - username@uwf.edu
  2. Click your avatar in the upper right-hand corner of the app. 
  3. Click Manage your Google Account.
  4. At the top of your screen, click on the Security tab. 
  5. Click 2-Step Verification then follow the prompts to complete enrollment.
