UWF's wireless networks will work with most laptops, desktops, and smartphones.  However, most small media devices (e.g., gaming consoles, digital media players, and e-readers) will not function on wireless networks using a WPA2-Enterprise encryption.  UWF's wireless networks use WPA2-Enterprise encryption.

If you have a small media device that won't work on UWF's wireless network, consider a wired connection using an Ethernet cable.  A wired connection may work in residence halls, but please know that this isn't guaranteed.

Please note that the list below is a partial list of known popular devices that will NOT work on UWF's wireless networks.  There are potentially hundreds of devices that won't work on UWF's wireless networks because they do not support WPA2-Enterprise encryption. Visit WiFi.org's search engine to see which encryptions your device uses; it must list WPA2™ - Enterprise as one of the possible connections for the device to work at UWF.  Also know that WiFi.org doesn't list every device that exists.
