Panopto Retention Plan

Overview

To ensure efficient use of storage space, Panopto's retention policy is based on content viewing activity.

Retention Policy Details

  • Delete Content if Not Viewed in Over 3 Years: Any content that has not been viewed within the last three years will be deleted.
  • Recycle Bin: Deleted content will be moved to the recycle bin, where it will remain for 90 days.
  • Permanent Deletion: After 90 days in the recycle bin, content will be permanently deleted.
  • Custom Archiving Policy: Archived videos will not be deleted, ensuring access to videos that are not frequently used but still needed.

Zoom Retention Plan

Overview

Zoom's retention policy helps manage cloud storage by automatically handling old recordings.

Retention Policy Details

  • Retention Period: Recordings are retained for 365 days.
  • Post-Retention Process:
    • After 365 days, recordings are moved to the Zoom cloud trash.
    • Recordings remain in the cloud trash for 30 days.
    • After 30 days in the trash, recordings are permanently deleted.
