The page explains how to submit the required documentation to request that your current SEVIS record be transferred to the University of West Florida.

For help with this process, please contact International Affairs at international@uwf.edu.

Notify International Affairs that you plan to transfer your I-20 to UWF

The documents required to transfer your I-20 are:

  1. UWF admission letter
  2. Financial support documents for the I-20
  3. Copy of your passport

(warning) F-1 International Student transfers are not processed until admission is confirmed and financial documentation is submitted.

Submit Financial Support and a Copy of your Passport

Go to Submitting Proof of Identity and Financials for the Issuance of Form I-20s and DS-2019s for instructions.

Work with Your Current School to Request a Transfer

After International Affairs has approved your financial documents, contact your current international student advisor to request the transfer.

You will work with your current advisor to set a date to transfer your SEVIS record to UWF (transfer release date).

  1. Complete the information in the Transfer Instruction form. See below.
  2. Provide your current advisor the completed form and a copy of your UWF admission letter.

Receive your I-20

When the transfer release date arrives, UWF International Affairs will issue a Form I-20 and email a copy to you.
