Overview

For UWF users who would like to access their UWF Gmail accounts on their mobile devices, these users are strongly encouraged to use the official Gmail app (most Android devices may already have the official Gmail app installed).

This page details how to install this app, how to add a UWF Gmail account to the app, and how to switch between multiple Gmail accounts in the app.



All UWF students and nearly all UWF employees will lose access to their UWF Gmail accounts at some point.

Adding a UWF Gmail account to the app

To add your UWF Gmail Account to your Gmail app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Gmail app.
  2. Click your avatar circle at the top right.
    1. If you don't see an avatar circle at the top right, then skip to Step 4.
  3. Click Add another account.
  4. Click Google account. 
  5. Follow the steps on the screen to add your UWF Gmail account. You will type in your full UWF Gmail address and your ArgoNet password. 
  6. After the account has been added, other Google services, such as Calendar and Contacts, will automatically be synced to your device. 
    1. For iPhone users
      1. If you want your Google Calendar events synced, then you have to install Google's official Calendar app. 
      2. Visit Google's Sync Google Contacts with your mobile device or computer help article, to learn how to sync your contacts to your UWF Gmail account.

Switching between Gmail accounts on the app

Users can be logged in to multiple Gmail accounts in the Gmail app at the same time (such as their UWF Gmail accounts, and their personal Gmail accounts). 

Messages on the Gmail app stay separate for each separate account.

To switch between accounts:

  1. Open the Gmail app.
  2. Click your avatar circle at the top right.
  3. Click the account you want to switch to.
