The Certified Knowledge Worker Yearly Refresher course allows employees to maintain their knowledge worker certification. It is a fully online course that features interactive training modules to help improve your cybersecurity awareness skills. |
Before you can take the refresher course, you must obtain a Knowledge Worker Certification. Upon completion of the Knowledge Worker Certification, you will have one year to take the refresher course. A reminder email will be sent to Certified Knowledge Workers 3 months prior to the certification expiring. You will be eligible to take the course again each year after receiving this message.
Once in the course, begin by clicking the "Start Here - Welcome to the UWF Certified Knowledge Worker Yearly Refresher course!" module. As you progress through the course, clicking on the content linked in each module will open an activity in a new tab in your web browser. After completing an activity, close the browser tab to return to the course. You may then click "Next" to progress to the next module. On graded activities, a grade of 80% or higher must be earned in order to unlock the next module. To complete the course, all modules must be completed, including the final "Conclusion" module. If you complete a module, but receive a message on the next module that not all prerequisites have been met, please refresh your page. If refreshing the page does not open the content, you may check your course progress by clicking on "Modules" on the left side of the screen to verify you have completed all required content. The course takes approximately 1-1.25 hours to complete and we strongly recommend taking the course in one sitting.
Your certification should appear in SCOOP within an hour. If your certification does not show as complete within an hour, please contact the ITS Help Desk at (850) 474-2075. Your Knowledge Worker Yearly Refresher certification will remain valid for one year after the completion date of this training. You will receive a reminder email 3 months prior to the expiration of the certification. At the time the email is received, you will be eligible to take the training again. This cycle will repeat annually.
