Problem

My instructor will be using Collaborate Ultra for virtual class sessions this semester. How will I access these sessions and will I need to install any special software?

Solution

Unlike Blackboard Collaborate Classic, Collaborate Ultra requires no special software and is designed to launch directly in your web browser. While it will launch in any browser, full functionality is only available in Google Chrome with the use of an application sharing add-on. Users will be automatically prompted to install the Chrome add-on upon the first use of application sharing in a session. If you are not sure of where to go to access an Ultra session, you will need to contact your instructor. Links to sessions will generally be sent via email or posted within the content of eLearning courses.
