Overview


Below are the procedures for accessing eDesktop from iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.) and Android devices.

iOS Devices (iPad, iPhone, etc.)

  1. Search and download Microsoft Remote Desktop app within the App Store

  2. After opening the app, choose New Remote Desktop
     New Remote Desktop

  3. Enter the following information and select Save:

    Connection Name: UWF eDesktop
    PC Name:eDesktop.uwf.edu

     where to enter connection and PC names

  4. Open eDesktop by selecting UWF eDesktop, and enter your credentials when prompted. Note: enter your username as ARGONET\your-argonet-username
     fields for Argonet username and password

  5. Once logged on, you can interact with eDesktop as you normally do. Certain features may be unavailable. Log-off eDesktop when finished.

Android Devices

  1. Search and download Microsoft Remote Desktop app within the Google Play Store

  2. After opening the app, select the + (plus) icon to add a new connection

  3. Enter the following information and select Done:

    Connection (Friendly) Name: UWF eDesktop
    PC (Host) Name:eDesktop.uwf.edu

  4. Open eDesktop by selecting UWF eDesktop, and enter your credentials when prompted. Note: enter your username as ARGONET\your-argonet-username
     Fields for Argonet username and password

  5. Once logged on, you can interact with eDesktop as you normally do. Certain features may be unavailable. Log-off eDesktop when finished.
