Updates Regarding LAC (March 2025)

At this time, UWF is committed to supporting current LAC recipients for the Fall 2025 semester so long as eligibility is maintained and the award was committed prior to March 2025.  No new LAC Scholarships will be offered to new students. 

What the LAC Scholarship Does

Currently, eligible students in from Latin American and Caribbean countries who receive a qualifying scholarship may be classified as in-state for tuition purposes while enrolled full-time and in good academic standing.

For Current UWF LAC Recipients (Awarded Spring 2025 or Earlier)

  • Renewal eligibility: You may renew your LAC for the Fall 2025 semester if you:

    • remain continuously enrolled each fall/spring (summer excluded), 

    • meet the minimum cumulative GPA each term, and

    • do not qualify for in-state residency through other means

Future Applicants 

UWF is no longer accepting new applications.  We will not award the LAC Scholarship to any new, incoming students beyond pre-existing Fall 2025 commitments.
