When you click a PDF link on a web page, it can open either within the web browser or directly in Acrobat Reader or Foxit. Each browser has its own settings to control how PDFs open from a web page.

- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More Settings.
- At the bottom, click Advanced.
- Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.
- Near the bottom, click PDF documents.
- Turn off Open PDFs using a different application.
Additionally you may use the following steps as well: - On your computer, open Chrome.
- Type chrome://settings/content in the address bar.
- Scroll to PDF Documents section, located at the bottom of the list.
- Turn off Open PDFs using a different application.

- In Firefox, choose Tools > Options.
- In the Options dialog, click Applications.
- In the Applications tab, type PDF in the search field.
- For Portable Document Format (PDF) content type in the search result, select Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox) from the Action drop-down list.
- Click OK.
- Restart Firefox.
