Postage Rates

Postage is charged according to the class of mail and the way the mail is prepared and presented to the U.S. Postal Service. Most domestic UWF mail is sent Expedited (Express or Priority), First Class, First Class presorted (500 or more pieces), Standard Mail - bulk (200 or more pieces), Standard Post, Library or Media Mail. The more presorting that is done, the more accurate addresses are, and the more barcoding (automation) that is done, the less postage is required because the U.S. Postal Service will handle the mail less. UWF mailers should use the least costly method of mailing which will accomplish the mailing need. Call UWF Postal Services at 474-2436 or 474-3211 if you need assistance in determining the best and least costly mailing alternatives. Also UWF mailers should use this guide to determine qualification for discounted postage rates, mailing requirements and preparation rules.

Postage rates for all classes of domestic and international mail change periodically. Current postage rates can be found at USPS.com, select “Calculating on the U.S. Postal Services web site, select “Calculating a Price”, visit the Postal Explorer Price Listcall 474-2436 or visit the UWF Post Office for information concerning rates and fees for services.
