Please complete the form located on Jira to request either: a free one-year license of ArcGIS Desktop or a free one-year license for ERDAS Imagine software. Upon approval, an email will be sent to your UWF email account that includes the license code and instructions for software installation on your local machine. Faculty may request access to ArcMap for ArgoApps.

Activate your authorization code
- Visit www.esri.com/educationedition to begin the process of activating and downloading your ArcGIS Pro software.
- Log in using your ArcGIS Enterprise account.
- Enter the authorization code.
- Click the button for the version of ArcGIS Pro you need.
Download and install ArcGIS Pro
Download and install ArcGIS Pro
- Log in to ArcGIS Online using your ArcGIS Enterprise account.
- Click your name in the top right of the screen, then click on My Settings
- Click on Licenses in the left-hand column.
- Next to ArcGIS Pro you should see a Download link. Click that.
- A window will pop up, verify that the correct version is selected, and click download.
- Follow on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Download and install a specific/older version of ArcGIS Pro
Sometimes UWF GIS operates on a previous version of ArcGIS Pro while the newest version is stabilized. A stable version of ArcGIS is important to deliver the best user experience and complete coursework. Please follow these instructions to download a specific or previous version of ArcGIS Pro
- Make sure that your MyEsri account is connected to the UWF Organization. If your account is not connected to the organization, please contact the GIS Lab Manager to connect.
- Visit my.esri.com and log into your MyEsri account.
- From the MyEsri navigation bar, select Downloads to bring up a dropdown menu.
- Select All Products and Versions.
- Select All Versions from the available tabs (Current Version is the default view).
- Next to ArcGIS Pro, you should see a drop-down menu with the current version number as the default option. Select the desired version from that menu.
- Select View Downloads
- Select Download for ArcGIS Pro and any applicable patches (patches will change version number).
ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) 10.8.x
Before you install ArcGIS for Desktop
Check the system requirements to make sure your computer has the hardware and software required for ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.x.
Make sure that your MyEsri account is connected to the UWF Organization. If your account is not connected to the organization, please contact the GIS Lab Manager to connect. The GIS Lab Manager will need to activate a single-use license if the installation is a non-UWF managed computer.
Installing ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcMap)
- Visit my.esri.com and log into your MyEsri account.
- From the MyEsri navigation bar, select Downloads to bring up a dropdown menu.
- Select ArcGIS Desktop 10.8.x (ArcMap).
- From the downloads page select the Download button for ArcGIS Desktop. This should be the first option.
- Run the installer following the prompts with desired settings to install the software.
Activating Single-Use License for ArcGIS for Desktop (ArcMap)
- The GIS Lab Manager should send a license file to your email. Please request a single-use license from the GIS Lab Manager if you have not received one.
- Launch the Software Authorization Wizard from the ArcGIS Administrator (ArcGIS Desktop and Engine), the License Server Administrator (License Manager), or the respective post installer for Server products.
- Select the option "I have received an authorization file from Esri and am now ready to finish the authorization process."
- Browse to the license file you saved then select "Next".
- Select "Authorize with Esri now over the Internet." If your machine does not have an Internet connection, select the "Authorize at Esri's website or by email to receive your authorization file".
- Select "Next".
- Review the pre-populated personal information and enter any additional required information. On the next panels, you will see the authorization numbers entered for the core product and any extensions, if applicable.
- Click "Finish" to complete the authorization process
- The download page references ArcGIS for Desktop, this is ok, you can ignore this information unless you run into errors.
- From the download list, download ArcGIS Pro.
- Complete any onscreen prompts.
- Once ArcGIS Pro has finished installing, sign in with your Enterprise account.

- Go to download.hexagon.com
- Select Hexagon Geospatial Download Site
- Under Browse by Product, select ERDAS Imagine and then View Products
- Select the version of ERDAS Imagine you want to download and fill out the Download Registration to begin the download process.
