The University of West Florida provides multiple wireless networks (SSIDs) to meet different needs. Here’s a quick overview to help you choose the right one:

Who can use it?
Faculty, staff, and students.
Purpose:
Connect your personal (BYOD) devices such as laptops, smartphones, or tablets for full access to UWF’s network and internet.

Who can use it?
Faculty, staff, and students.
Purpose:
Secure, world-wide roaming access. Connect once at UWF and you can use eduroam at thousands of participating institutions around the world using your UWF credentials.

UWF Guest
Who can use it?
Campus visitors, conference attendees, or special event guests.
Purpose:
Provides self-service guest access for up to 12 hours at a time.
How to connect:
Guests can follow our UWF Guest Wireless Instructions to self-register and get online.. For large events or special arrangements, submit a request to ITS.

Overview
ArgoAir is UWF's indoor wireless network. Unlike public wireless networks, ArgoAir is secured to protect your information. To connect to ArgoAir, you must configure the wireless settings on your computer using the instructions below.
Services Available through ArgoAir
- Web (HTTP, HTTPS)
- FTP (Internet Explorer users must use Active FTP*)
- Email (POP, IMAP, SMTP)
- Streaming Media (MMS, RTSP)
- On-Campus Telnet
- Instant Messaging (AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ)
- eDesktop
- Remote Desktop (RDP)
- Printing via WEPA kiosks on the Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach campuses. Follow the instructions on the UWF WEPA website.
Please note that individual (H: and I:) and departmental ArgoNet drives can only be accessed via FTP.
