Instructions
Step 1
Tutors trying to set up a computer for a GradesFirst kiosk need to review Discovering which GradesFirst user roles you have to make sure sure they have the proper access. The direct supervisors of the tutoring services determine which privileges their employees have. These supervisors and their tutors should review Giving and revoking various GradesFirst privileges to tutors.
ACE Lab Staff: The ACE Coordinator and the other 21st Century Scholars administrators are the only ones who can start a GradesFirst kiosk.
MathStat Tutor Lab Staff: The administrative staff for the Math and Computer Sciences departments can start a GradesFirst kiosk.
Writing Lab Staff: The MOD's Lab assistants scheduled to work the Front Desk are the only ones who can start a GradesFirst kiosk.
Step 2
If you have a magnetic card sweeper, plug it into your USB port. This device should remain plugged in.
The kiosk will work without a card sweeper, but the students will have to enter their UWF student ID numbers using the keyboard.
Step 3
Open any web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.). Go to uwf.gradesfirst.com. Log in.
Step 4
Click the "Tutor Kiosk" link at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5
A new window should appear. The kiosk will be located in this new windowa new window.
Step 6
Copy https://id.uwf.edu/cas/logout and paste it in the first window. Press the "Enter" key. Close the old window.

Click on the new window, and then press the "F11" key on your keyboard to make the window take up the entire screen.
*This full-screen mode hides the task bar across the bottom of the screen. This mode helps discourage discourages students from using the computer for anything other than checking in and checking out.
**To exit full-screen mode, press the "F11" key again.

Select your location.
ACE Lab Staff: Select "Academic Center for Excellence."
MathStat Tutor Lab Staff: Select either "MathStat Tutor Lab (2nd floor)" or "MathStat Tutor Lab (3rd floor)."
Writing Lab Staff: The location you choose depends on the room in which you are setting up the Kioskkiosk:
- Select "Main Writing Lab, Paper Reading Room" if the kiosk will be in the Paper Reading Room.
- Select "Main Writing Lab, Skill-of-the-Week Tutoring Room" if the kiosk will be in the Tutoring Room.
- Select either "Writing Lab @ COB" or "Writing Lab @ COPS" if you're working at either of these satellite locations.
*Attention all tutors: If you select the wrong location, click the grey arrow on the left side of the screen.
