Parts of Term (POT) are the designated dates within a full semester or term. Courses that begin/end in different parts of term may have different add/drop periods that could potentially affect tuition charges/refunds issued to students.

Due to the varying beginning and ending dates for PoT of POT 5-9, RW ( Web Registration ) for these terms will be the first 7 days of the month of the PoT. To withdraw from a POT 5-9 course, contact registrar@uwf.edu

POT 1= Full semester (16 weeks in Fall and Spring, 12 weeks in Summer)
POT 2= First half of semester (8 weeks in Fall and Spring, 6 weeks in Summer)
POT 3= Second half of semester (8 weeks in Fall and Spring, 6 weeks in Summer)
POT 4= Summer last 8 week part of term
POT 5-9 are used for varying dates that do not fit into other Parts of Term 1 through 4.
5= course starts during first month of term.
Spring:
- POT 5 - January 1 - January 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 6 - February 1 - February 28 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 7 - March 1 - March 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 8 - April 1 - April 30 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 9 - May 1 - May 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
Summer:
- POT 5 - May 1 - May 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 6 - June 1 - June 30 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 7 - July 1 - July 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 8 - August 1 - August 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
Fall:
- POT 5 - August 1 - August 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 6 - September 1 - September 30 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 7 - October 1 - October 31 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 8 - November 1 - November 30 (can end at any time and may vary in length).
- POT 9 - December 1 - End of term (
- can end at any time and may vary in length). *POT 9 only applies to Fall term.
POT 10 = Summer first 8 week part of term
POT 20 = Winter term, limited use to sections over winter break
POT 90 = Second half of semester for OPM Programs-used in summer only (7 weeks)
POT 91-95= ABA Starts and used Summer, Fall, Spring. Dates change each term
POT 96= First half of semester for OPM Programs-used in summer only (7 weeks)

Students will not see the actual POT abbreviation. Students will see the actual dates a course is being offered. They can, however, use those dates and access the Academic Calendar to find the associated Part of Term.can see their Part of Term in their Classmate app in MyUWF.
