In order to participate in a Study Abroad Program, a student must submit a Study Abroad Program application via our Global Hub app and and meet the following requirements at the time of submission of the application and at the time of participation in the Study Abroad Program:

- Be currently enrolled as a degree-seeking UWF student or approved as a non-UWF transient student;
- Be in good academic standing;
- Have a minimum UWF cumulative GPA of 2.75 for participation in a semester-based Study Abroad Exchange Program or a minimum GPA of 2.50 for participation in a faculty or staff-led Study Abroad Program;
- Must enroll as a degree-seeking student in the course(s) being offered for a grade if participating in a faculty-led Study Abroad Program. Auditing a course is not allowable;
- Disclose citizenship and provide self-verification that all foreign embassy/consulate requirements for travel are satisfied;
- Obtain any required visas or entry permits for the host country;
- Be in Demonstrate good standing with the UWF Student Code of Conduct and free of active disciplinary sanctions that would restrict participation;
- Complete and sign the Study Abroad Program Agreement, Waiver, and Release as part of the application;
- Obtain approval from their study abroad advisor or faculty or staff leader for a faculty or staff-led Study Abroad Program;
- Obtain approval from their academic advisor for student exchange programs;
- Complete the European Union General Data Protection Regulation Notification if traveling to a country that is a European Union member state;
- Provide proof of a valid passport that will remain valid for six months beyond the abroad period;
- Undergo a successful Level 2 background screening prior to program participation, if a program will require a student to be in a position of trust with vulnerable populations, as defined by UWF. Students are responsible for the costs associated with any required Level 2 background screening;
- Attend all required pre-departure study abroad orientation;orientations and program meetings;
- Meet all financial obligations related to the program by published deadlines;
- Maintain adequate international health insurance coverage Obtain health insurance as described below for the duration of the Study Abroad Program prior to departurethe program as required by the University; and
- Meet all other requirements of the Office of International Affairs Global Engagement and the particular Study Abroad Program and/or host institution.
