Typically, you can expect your Monthly Stipend following the first month of class and then at the start of every month thereafter. The VA will pay you a percentage of the full month's rate based on the number of days that you're enrolled in the month. The VA calls this a prorated payment. For example, if the semester (school) starts on the 20th, you can expect to get a payment for the 10 days of enrollment that month. You Your payment would be 1/3 of the monthly rate. You Your full monthly stipend can be expected the next month since that would be the first full month of attendance. Be advised, the VA does not pay between term breaks and students can expect prorated amounts between breaks. |
