You must not begin work until your OPT is approved and you have received your Employment Authorization Document (EAD card).

Employment is permitted only during the time period specified on the EAD card.
You will get an email from the SEVP portal on the start date.
If you do not get the email or have any issues, please contact your international student advisor.
