Overview

screenshot of Quizzes iconThe Quizzes tool enables you to create and manage points-measured assessments. As part of your quantifiable assessment procedures, you can use quizzes to help evaluate users' learning progress and learning outcomes. Create and manage quiz questions from the Question Library or the Quizzes tool, and organize quizzes into categories to make it easier to find assessments with similar or related content. Use the quiz preview option to test the accuracy of content and grading before you release a quiz. In a preview, you can answer the questions, view allowed hints, submit the quiz, auto-grade answers, read feedback, and view report results.

Once you receive completed quizzes from learners, you can view quiz statistics such as grade distribution, grade average, question statistics, and user statistics on the Statistics page.

How do I reset a quiz attempt that is in progress?

Sometimes students will lose their connection while taking a quiz. This means that their quiz remains “in progress” and will not be graded. If they need to retake the quiz, the first attempt must be submitted and/or reset if you are going to allow them to take the quiz over.

Submitting a quiz attempt in progress by impersonating the student

1. Click on Quizzes on the nav bar.

2. Find the quiz in the quiz list and click on the drop down to select Grade.

3. The default filter is set to users who have completed an attempt. Since you are looking for an attempt in progress, change the filter to Users with Attempts in progress (Step 1). Click the Search icon (Step 2).

4. Find the student’s name. Any attempt in progress will be indicated by in progress or possibly even other notations indicating that the quiz has been running for a very long time.

5. Click on attempt in progress. Select the impersonate button to enter the quiz AS that student.
