Overview

This page provides instructions on how to complete a UWF Canvas Migration Form.

Instructions

IMPORTANT!  The deadline for completing this form to request migration of courses is APRIL 1, 2018!

Canvas will be migrating Banner courses for Summer 2017, Fall 2017, and Spring 2018 from D2L to Canvas. Only course related content will be migrated. No student data will be included. A list of applicable courses is available at D2L Migrated Courses Report

If you have an eLearning course that is not listed on the D2L Migration Report and would like to have the course migrated to Canvas, please submit a UWF Canvas Migration Form. These courses will be migrated during the final migration in April. The D2L Migrated Courses Report does not include Development or Special Courses.

Course Migration Limit

As part of the Canvas Implementation, the University is limited to 5,000 courses to be migrated by Canvas. For the Canvas Migration Form requests received, we will prioritize Banner courses over Development/Special Courses. All courses over the 5,000 course limit can be migrated manually with assistance from ATC.

Step 1

Open the D2L Migrated Courses Report.

Step 2

Check to see if all of your current courses are listed on the report. Within the report, you can search by Summer 2017, Fall 2017, and Spring 2018 or by Title, Instructor Name, and Course Reference and Section Number. If your course is listed in the report, the course is already scheduled to be migrated from D2L to Canvas. If your course is not listed in the D2L Migrated Courses Report, continue to Step 3

Search by Semester by clicking on one of the semester tabs at the bottom of the sheet.

Search each semester tab by pressing down the Ctrl key and the F key on your keyboard and then type in course title, section, or instructor name in the search box.
